Domain name terms of use

A customer registering any domain through HostsPK.com must read and agree to these terms as well as the terms of the domain registrar. This covers all TLDs, SLDs, gTLDs and ccTLDs (including .PK).

The customer is fully responsible and liable for any illegal content that violates the laws of Pakistan or any other country; HostsPK.com is not liable. HostsPK.com may suspend or cancel a domain that violates these terms.

A domain will not be allowed if it infringes a registered tradename, is not bona fide under international best practice, contravenes the Pakistan Penal Code 1860 (including defamation and blasphemy), the Anti-Terrorism Act 1997 or any applicable criminal law in HostsPK.com's opinion, has been declared by a criminal court to contravene the above or the Cyber Crime Law 2018, or is otherwise not appropriate for registration in HostsPK.com's opinion.

Disallowed content: Illegal material (copyrighted works, commercial audio/video/music, anything violating federal, state, international or Pakistani regulation); adult material (pornography, erotic, lewd or obscene content, at HostsPK.com's discretion); warez (pirated software, ROMs, emulators, hacking, password cracking, IP spoofing, encryption tools, or sites linking to or explaining such activity).

Web hosting terms of use

HostsPK.com may suspend or cancel any services when an account is used inappropriately, and may refuse service or access to anyone.

Content or links promoting any religion or sect are not allowed. Illegal material, adult material and warez (as defined above) are also prohibited on hosting accounts.

Content of websites: Services may be used for lawful purposes only. The customer indemnifies and holds harmless HostsPK.com against claims arising from use of the services. Copyright and trademark infringement (music, books, photographs, etc.) is prohibited. Counterfeit merchandise or hosting any type of religious content will result in immediate termination. Copyright or trademark complaints can be sent to support@hostspk.com.

Examples of unacceptable material on all shared servers include: religious sites and religious content; political content; pirated music, songs, books and photographs; selling or promoting drugs, medicines, alcohol or tobacco; lottery and gambling websites; hacker sites, archives, programs and viruses; illegal activities; controlled substances without permits; pirated software and warez; broadcast or streaming of live sporting events or TV channels; forums or sites distributing or linking to warez, pirated or illegal content; image hosting, file dump and mirror scripts; mail bombers and spam scripts; proxy scripts and anonymizers; IRC scripts and bots; AutoSurf, PTC, PTS and PPC sites; IP scanners; brute-force programs; banner-ad rotation services; commercial audio streaming (beyond one or two streams); escrow and bank debenture schemes; HYIP and investment schemes (FOREX, E-Gold exchange, Ponzi, MLM/pyramid); and fraudulent sites.

Service availability: HostsPK.com attempts to provide service 24/7 but promises nothing. Outages may occur due to malfunctions, maintenance, power or telecom failures, hostile attacks or traffic conditions. We have not promised uninterrupted service.

HostsPK.com may cancel an account with 24 hours' notice if the customer is exceptionally rude or vulgar toward staff.

Spam policy

HostsPK.com has zero tolerance for unsolicited bulk or commercial email (UBE/UCE). Spam is defined as unsolicited broadcast or commercial email sent to addresses that did not affirmatively and verifiably request it. This includes using a non-existent return address on solicitations, mail-bombing, subscribing someone else to a mailing list without permission, posting the same article to multiple newsgroups, and using another network to send spam relating to HostsPK.com or any hosted site.

Violation of the spam policy results in termination of the account without notice and without refund.

Email usage limits: 125 outgoing emails per hour per domain, including mailing lists. Sending over the limit causes emails to bounce; wait at least one hour before sending again.

Resource usage policy

HostsPK.com may immediately suspend any site that monopolizes server resources in extreme circumstances. A user may not use 15% or more of system resources for longer than 60 seconds, run cron entries or scheduled tasks more often than every 20 minutes, or run MySQL queries longer than 15 seconds.

Gaming servers, file-sharing/P2P, stand-alone unattended server-side processes or daemons (such as IRCD), web spiders or indexers on shared servers, software interfacing with IRC, BitTorrent applications, trackers and clients, and PHP includes of remote URLs are not permitted.

If a website uses more than 10% of server resources and/or 10% of CPU, HostsPK.com may take it offline (a warning will be attempted but is not guaranteed). Options include upgrading the package or requesting a pro-rated refund of prepaid amounts.

Refunds

All web hosting, WordPress hosting and VPS plans include a 30-day money-back guarantee. If you are not satisfied with the hosting service, you can request a full refund of the hosting fees within 30 days of purchase — no questions asked. Cancellation can be requested via the contact form, email or phone, and a confirmation will be issued. No refunds are given after 30 days.

Domain name registrations and renewals are non-refundable: once a domain is registered with the registry (for example PKNIC), the registration fee cannot be recovered, so it is excluded from the money-back guarantee. If you cancel hosting within the guarantee period, any domain registered with us stays yours.

Accounts cancelled or terminated for terms violations (for example spamming) do not qualify for the money-back guarantee.

Indemnification & disclaimer

The customer agrees to defend, indemnify and hold harmless HostsPK.com (its agents, customers, officers and employees) from all liabilities, losses, costs and claims, including attorney's fees, arising from services provided or products sold by the customer, including injury to person or property, infringing material, copyright infringement and defective products.

HostsPK.com is not responsible for damages to the customer's business. No warranties are expressed or implied, including warranties of merchantability or fitness for a particular purpose. This includes data loss from delays, non-delivery, wrong delivery or service interruptions. Customers are strongly advised to keep their own backups of files, databases and emails.

HostsPK.com may revise these policies at any time. By using HostsPK.com services you agree to the above terms of service as in effect from time to time.
